STOPHELP1. Program Description
Clarevo sends text messages to clients and prospects who have opted in to receive service-related communications via SMS/MMS to their mobile number.
This is a service notification program, not a bulk marketing program. We use SMS to communicate account updates, appointment confirmations, and service-related notifications. We do not send promotional advertisements or unsolicited messages.
2. How to Opt In
You opt in to receive SMS messages from Clarevo by checking the SMS consent checkbox on our intake form. The checkbox is:
- Unchecked by default — you must actively check it
- Separate from the Terms of Service acceptance — SMS consent is independent
- Not required to purchase or use Clarevo's services
The opt-in language displayed on our intake form reads:
By checking this box, you provide your prior express written consent as required by the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and Texas SB 140.
Consent records: We maintain a record of every SMS opt-in, including the date, time, phone number, and source (intake form URL) of consent. These records are retained for a minimum of 5 years.
3. Message Types
When you opt in, you may receive the following types of messages from Clarevo:
- Appointment confirmations and reminders: Confirmation of your discovery call or leadership assessment booking, and reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before your appointment.
- Account and service updates: Notifications about your content calendar, approval deadlines, or service changes.
- Content delivery alerts: Brief notification when your monthly content batch is ready for review.
- Billing notifications: Payment confirmations and payment failure alerts.
We do not send promotional SMS campaigns, affiliate marketing, or unsolicited sales messages.
4. Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your account activity. Typical frequency is 1-4 messages per month. During active periods (onboarding, content approval cycles, billing events) you may receive slightly more. You will not receive daily SMS messages.
5. Message & Data Rates
Standard message and data rates from your mobile carrier may apply to messages you send and receive. Clarevo does not charge additional fees for SMS messages beyond your carrier's standard rates. If you are unsure of your carrier's rates, contact your carrier for details.
6. How to Opt Out
You may opt out of SMS messages at any time using any of the following methods:
- Reply STOP: Text STOP in reply to any Clarevo SMS message. You will receive one final confirmation message: "You have been unsubscribed from Clarevo SMS. You will receive no further messages. Contact legal@clarevo.ai for assistance." No further messages will be sent.
- Email: Email legal@clarevo.ai requesting removal from our SMS list. We will process your opt-out within 5 business days.
Opting out of SMS does not cancel your Clarevo subscription. Service notifications will continue to be delivered by email.
7. Getting Help
If you need assistance with our SMS program:
- Reply HELP to any Clarevo SMS message to receive our support contact information.
- Email: legal@clarevo.ai
8. Legal Compliance
TCPA Compliance
Clarevo's SMS program complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), 47 U.S.C. Section 227. We obtain prior express written consent before sending any marketing text messages. Consent is collected through a clear, affirmative opt-in action (a separate, unchecked checkbox) and is not bundled with any other agreement or made a condition of purchase.
Texas SB 140 (Mini-TCPA)
Effective September 1, 2025, Texas Senate Bill 140 regulates automated SMS communications to Texas residents. Clarevo's SMS program is a consent-based opt-in program. Per guidance from the Texas Attorney General, consent-based programs — where recipients affirmatively opt in prior to receiving messages — are outside the registration requirement of SB 140. All opt-in records are maintained with timestamp and source documentation.
Quiet hours
We do not send SMS messages outside the hours of 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM in the recipient's local time zone, in compliance with TCPA quiet-hour requirements.
Opt-out honoring
All opt-out requests are processed within 10 business days as required by TCPA. No promotional messages are sent after opt-out. A single opt-out confirmation message may be sent.
9. Privacy
Your phone number and SMS opt-in status are handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Your phone number is used solely to deliver the SMS communications described in this policy.
SMS opt-in records (phone number, date/time of consent, source) are retained for a minimum of 5 years as required for TCPA and SB 140 compliance documentation.
